Basketball Programs Prepare For National Tournament
Spearfish, S.D. - The Black Hills State University men’s and women’s basketball teams are preparing to compete at the NAIA Division II Men’s and Women’s National Basketball Tournaments on March 9-15.
There are many ways for fans to catch all of the action leading up to the tip-off. The Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) men’s championship game between Black Hills State and S.D. School of Mines will be rebroadcast on Sunday, March 6 at 1 p.m. MT with the NAIA Selection Show Special following the game. Both events can be heard locally on KDSJ 980 AM on online at www.kdsj980.com.
Black Hills State men’s basketball will face Holy Names (Calif.) on Wednesday, March 9 at 9:15 a.m. MT and the women’s team will face Concordia (Ore.) on Thursday, March 10 at 11 a.m. MT. All of the NAIA Tournament games for the Yellow Jackets will be broadcast on KDSJ 980 AM. Tom Wheaton will be the play-by-play voice for all of the women’s games from Sioux City, Iowa and John Kietzmann will be the voice of the Yellow Jackets during the men’s basketball broadcasts from Branson, Mo.
The Stadium Sports Grill in Spearfish, S.D. will be broadcasting all of the basketball tournament action on their big screen televisions.
