Orange, Calif. - The Black Hills State University men’s basketball team fell to Chapman University in Orange, Calif. by the score of 67-70 to fall to 10-15 on the season despite shooting 51% from the floor. the Yellow Jackets had chance to tie the game with less than 5 seconds remaining when freshman Brody Brisk was fouled on a three-point attempt, but he made just one of his three shots and Chapman preserved the victory.

Enos & Atkinson Honored by the NAIA

The brackets came out yesterday afternoon and BHSU will take on University of St. Francis from Fort Wayne, Indiana. USF will come in the game with a record of 23-9 and BHSU will enter with a record of 21-9. Tip off is set for 4:00 PM CST in Branson, Missouri on the campus of College of the Ozarks. Enos, Atkinson, Johnson, & Pottorff Honored by the DAC
Four players were recently honored by the Dakota Athletic Conference by receiving All-DAC honors. Junior Luke Enos was named DAC Player of the Year and 1st Team All-DAC for his second straight season. Enos averaged 19 points and six rebounds per game. Luke currently has 1267 points so far in his career at BHSU. Junior Cain Atkinson was also named 1st Team All-DAC for his second straight season. Cain averaged 16 points per game and he currently has 1528 total career points.

Black Hills State University basketball reached a great milestone this past year as four players have all reached the 1000 point mark. Junior Cain Atkinson from Evanston, Wyoming went over the 1000 point mark at the NAIA National Tournament in 2008-2009 as a sophomore. He currently has 1390 career points at BHSU with six regular season games left to play. Senior Brittany Fuhrman from Mobridge, South Dakota also reached the 1000 point mark in 2008-2009. Brittany currently holds the All-Time three-point record at BHSU along with having 1231 career points.
