Three Qualify For Marathon

Freemont, Neb. – The Black Hills State University men’s and women’s track and field teams qualified three individuals at the Midland Lutheran Half Marathon in Freemont, Neb. Saturday morning.

Senior Neil Long, sophomore Laine Parish and junior Leigh Ann Whiteside were the three Yellow Jackets to make the trip and the trio all qualified for the marathon at the NAIA Track and Field Championships.

“We do this as a cap to our cross country season every year,” said head coach Scott Walkinshaw.  “We have done this for awhile now and it’s something we look forward to after every season.”
