SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University rodeo program and head coach
Glen Lammers announced the 2025 fall schedule on Friday morning, as they look to continue their string of success in the Great Plains Region. A year ago, the women's team took home six rodeo titles to secure back-to-back regional championships, and their tenth regional crown in the last 14 seasons. Overall, the Yellow Jackets qualified six for the College National Finals Rodeo this past spring, and have
Emma Ohm,
Haley Husted,
Sierra Steele, and
Raylee Fagerhaug, all returning from that group. On the men's side, the Green & Gold also return
Luke Mavity who was a 2024 national qualifier.

The 2025-26 season gets underway in River Falls, Wisconsin, as Black Hills State is set to compete at the Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo on September 5-6. The event will be hosted by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in the first of five rodeos in the Great Plains Region during the first half of the year. From there the Yellow Jackets travel south to North Platte, Nebraska, for a double rodeo hosted by Mid-Plains Community College. The Mid-Plains Community College Stampede Rodeo #1 is set for September 11-12, and the Mid-Plains Community College Stampede Rodeo #2 is slated for September 12-13. The first month of the year will conclude in Dickinson, North Dakota, with the Blue Hawk Stampede, hosted by Dickinson State University on September 26-27.

Black Hills State continues competition up north in the next week to begin the month of October as they are set to take part in the Mystic Stampede on October 3-4 in Mandan, North Dakota. A week later the first half of the year will come to a close in Fort Dodge, Iowa, at the Triton Stampede on October 10-11.
