Hall of Fame
class of 1982, was a four-time NAIA All-American for BHSU. He was an All-American in cross country during the 1978 and 1979 seasons. In 1980 and 1981 he gained All-American status in the steeplechase for the Yellow Jacket track team. His best time in the steeplechase at 9:07.4 was an all-time South Dakota collegiate record. In cross-country, Fiedler was an NAIA District 12 champion in 1979 and 1980. He also won the conference championship in 1980. In track, he was the conference and District 12 1500-meter champ from 1978 to 1981. He also won the District 12 800-meter race in 1981.
