Black Hills State University Athletics

graduated from BHSC in 1948. During his years at BHSC he played on championship teams in football, basketball and track. He established several school records in the long jump, high jump and javelin. As a baseball player he had a very successful career in the amateur and semi-pro leagues. In 1959 he returned to BHSC as a coach and teacher, coaching for ten years. He was inducted into the SDIC Hall of Fame in 1985.
