Freeburg is noted for his success in volleyball, basketball, and track and field, with an overall record of 1,056 wins. His record includes 25 conference championships, 55 regional championships, 16 state runner-up championships, and nine state championships. In 2014, he was named a finalist for the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Volleyball Coach of the Year.
