played football for BHSU from 1972-1976. He was selected first-team SDIC defensive tackle in 1973, 1974, and 1975. He was also selected to the first-team All-District 12 football team in 1974 and 1975. Miller was second-team All-American NAIA Division II defensive lineman in 1975 and was selected to the Outstanding College Athletes of America. Miller was also a member of the nationally ranked Yellow Jackets’ defense in 1974 and 1975.
