Hall of Fame
added a third Hall of Fame induction to his credentials when he was inducted in the Yellow Jacket Hall of Fame. He had been previously inducted into the SDIC Hall of Fame in 1983 and the Northern State College Hall of Fame in 1984. Schlekeway, the current defensive coordinator for the Yellow Jacket football team, has been associated with BHSC football for 20 years. He was the team’s head coach from 1968 to 1982. Under his direction, the Jackets won titles in 1970 and 1979. Also a standout athlete at Northern State College from 1951 to 1955, he earned 12 varsity letters and was a member of nine teams that won SDIC titles.
